Suriya on his speech at Nadigar Sangam

Suriya has issued a clarification notice to the press recently to clarify the speech he made in support of few actresses who faced a damaging report published by a leading vernacular daily. There was an interpretation by certain sections of the media that the actor attacked the media in general. Nadigar Sangam came to the rescue of these actresses and demanded the arrest of the journalist who wrote this fake news and later the guilty party was arrested. During a meeting that was conducted in order to express their anguish over the issue, actors including Radha Ravi, Sarath Kumar, Vivek, Suriya, Sathyaraj and many others uttered their displeasure on the irresponsible behavior of that daily. Following that a certain section of the press has twisted what actor Suriya spoke in the meeting and tried to spoil his good name among the public.

Gaundamani’s new fond of speaking in English in Jaggubai

Goundamani, who is making a comeback in Sarath Kumar starrer Jaggubhai, directed by K S Ravikumar, is playing a Tamil, who makes comedy of errors by butchering English. If sources are to be believed, his role in the movie is an all-important one, and will shower humour all over the film. Goundamani will sure tickle your funny bone in Jaggubhai. He will be one of the highlights of the movie, they say. On the film, director Ravikumar says, Jaggubhai’s story is the same as the one I had earlier announced with Rajinikanth. It is for the 10th time our hit combination (KSR-Sarath) is coming together. Produced by Radhika Sarath Kumar (Radaan) and Zee group, Jaggubhai is a story of a dotting father and his daughter, played by Sarath and Shriya Saran, respectively.

We are not against the media – Sarath

Speaking to reporters after meeting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, he said the association is ready to settle the issue if the vernacular daily comes forward to apologies for its act. We are not here to fight with the media. We respect the press. A solution can be arrived at if the newspaper, through on its own or through any other media organisation, comes forward to apologies for the report, he said. Earlier, a delegation led by Sarath called on Karunanidhi and briefed him about the feelings of actors, who were hurt by the article. They also thanked the Chief Minister for the arrest of Dinamalar news editor Lenin.

Suriya enjoying guest treatment by nativities during Singam shoot

Suriya’s Singam has made it to the final stage of shooting. As of now the climax is being shot in a small village in Thiruchendur. To give a native touch to the scene, the team had erected an open air temple with a huge Ayyanar statue. our young hero is so jovial that he is spending time along with his fans till a shot is getting ready. Looks like Suriya is happy about the way the natives treat him. He is also going to few of their houses and having a good feast with them.
People of Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi are seeing me as a member of their family. Their affection is stunning me. Though these people go out of their place for their line of business, they all come together as a family during festive season; this is really touching, said Suriya in an interview for a local channel. On the other hand director Hari is confident to make it big, as Singam is being shot in his lucky locations like Kutralam, Thiruchendur and Tirunelveli.

Actors pay tribute to Sivaji

The opening ceremony of the Sivaji Ganesan bronze statue in Madurai was a day of reminiscence for Kamal Haasan and a host of other actors. Earlier, the statue was inaugurated by the Union Minister MK Alagiri. Speaking at the function, Kamal said that Sivaji had always been his inspiration and there was a touch of Sivaji's acting in his. The Ulaganayagan added that the late actor wielded respect so much that he used to remain speechless in his presence. Vijayakumar said that all actors, including the two present icons of the Tamil film industry, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, has the Sivaji effect in their acting. Comedian Vadivelu recalled his Devar Magan days when he had the opportunity to act with the legendary actor.
