Vasavi Housing Launches Green Home Project – Anicham
An eco-friendly residential development in Chennai aiming for a Green Home certification with Gold rating
Vasavi Housing Infrastructure Ltd (VHIL), today announced “Anicham” a unique Green concept project consisting of 54 apartments at Kelambakkam on the outskirts of Chennai. The Specialty of this project is that it has been conceived and planned as a Green Building in design and effectiveness. Green Evolution are the consultants, who are providing this expertise.
Addressing the Media Mr. P.B. Krishna Prasad, Director, Vasavi Housing Infrastructure said “This is probably the first time in Chennai where a builder has decided to go in for a complete Green House Concept for the whole project.” This single aspect will tremendously increase the validation of the project and will provide the House owners with an exclusive identity. In future, it will become mandatory for all buildings to follow this rule, however, we have decided to start right now.
The Green concept envisages energy efficiency, effective use of natural Sun light and water, cost efficient plumbing fixtures and use of low VOC paints among others. The total cost of the project is Rs. 20 crores and is spread over an area of one acre. Two more Green projects at Injambakkam and Semmanchery are expected to start in Decmber; 2009.The promoters have fixed a very attractive price for the launch at Rs.2700/- per square feet. The project is expected to be complete by June 2011. It contains two & three bedroom apartments.
VHIL are builders of repute and have been in the business of construction from the early 90’s.
